MY NEW HOME!!!
HOLA!!!!
I made it safe and sound to the DR!!! wow what an adventure!!! I ended up traveling here with 15 other missionaries! so I wasn't even lost for one second!answer to my many prayers!! we took a sketchy bus ride that was sooooo hot to the CCM, (mtc) by only spanish speaking men! it was hilarious the way he tried talking to us and we all just kind of looked at each other!! bahah!!!
anyways, the flights were crazy with turbulence...! i felt like i was on cannibal all over again! haha! it was so exciting going from new york to the DR cause everyone was speaking spanish and all the people were dominican and then some random missionaries in seats all over the place! so its crazy hot here! everyone was right, but it is nothing that i havent handled before!
there are 3 other sisters here with me, hermana riley from sandiego, hermana (jewshaw) idk how to spell it form seattle, and hermana stoker from boise idaho!!! they are all so great and so nice we have all gotten along with all the traveling and are all VERY VERY EXCITED!!! we all share a room, but we dont know our companions yet! i sat in a seat next to Elder airmet on both of my plane rides, he is literally the nicest guy!! he went to lone peak! My mtc presidentsare president and sister Romney, from dallas texas! hermana romney just greated us with hugs... ive never been so happy to get a hug before!!!
THIS PLACE IS SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL! I AM SO STOKED TO CALL THIS PLACE MY NEW HOME!!!!
so my p-day will be on thursday, but i wont be able to email until next thursday!! so sorry!!! haha! there are about 46 missionaries here which they said was pretty normal, and while im here itll get up to like 70! sorry my thoughts are all over the place right now!
Just know that i am so so so happy!!!not one ounce of nerves...right now at least.. haha! but really it is fantastic here i already love the feeling of being a missionary! :) thank you guys for all your emails already! i love you all with all my heart!
im going to work my butt off this next week and ill really be able to give you the scoop next week! cant wait to get started! i have some pics already but ill send them later cause i dont even have my luggage yet!
